Software
localization means full adaptation of software for use in another
language. Local Solutions will provide complete localization of
your company's software in most major languages, including double-byte
languages. Software localization consists of translating all user
interface text, including the online help contents, menus, installation procedures, user guides, technical documentation and
any other related documentation that will be required by the end
user in the target language. Translated strings should be the same size as the original text in order to fit into the appropriate spaces of dialog windows. In case a size-equivalent translation is not possible, dialogue boxes need to be resized. Image files, icons and sound or video clips
may also be localized. Our QA procedures ensure that the localized components function identically to the original source project.
Cultural adaptation of the software into the target market and
conversion of culturally specific items are necessary for a complete
localization process. This includes conversion of such items as
dates, addresses, telephone numbers, currencies and names of contact
persons.
